Raven Cursed - Damned if you do

Raven Cursed was another excellent work by Faith Hunter. In this book Jane Yellowrock is head of security for a vampire parley. Events from the previous books coalesce to give Jane no end of trouble. Things were tied together nicely and Jane even gets back to her roots a little, hunting and killing one vampire.

My one complaint is that she seemed to be damned if she did and double damned if she did. She blamed herself for events beyond her control. This is something we all do but usually at some point some one will knock some sense into us. Not true for Jane. Not only does she blame herself for trouble she hadn't put into motion, by the end of the book her best friend blames her too.

It feels like Faith is pushing Jane away from hunting vampires and more towards protecting them as the lead in to the next novel seems to be a direct threat against the Master of the City. While I'm sure it will be a fun ride, at what point do we quit calling Jane the Rogue Hunter and start calling her the Vamp Bodyguard?
